5 most accidental inventions that revolutionised the society
This is true that humans are responsible for accidental inventions. These inventions were the faults of the inventors since they were searching for one thing but found something very different.
However , We should all be grateful that the universe gifted us with these 5 most important accidental inventions - 
1. Artificial Cardiac Pacemaker

Artificial Cardiac Pacemaker or Pacemaker is one of the most beneficial accidental inventions on our list.
In 1941, a Canadian electrical engineer was researching on Radio Frequency Heating to restore the temperature in Hyperthermia. He found that if the heart stopped beating when it's temperature dropped, it could be restarted artificially by using an electrical stimulation device. This device is known as Pacemaker.
2. Penicillin

In 1928, Sir Alexander Fleming was experimenting with the influenza virus in the Laboratory of the Inoculation Department at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
When Fleming returned from a two-week vacation , he found that a mold had developed accidentally on a contaminated staphylococcus culture plate. He noticed that the culture prevented the growth of staphylococci.
Fleming named this mold - Penicillin . 
3. X - Ray

In 1895, Röntgen was experimenting with cathode rays to test a phenomenon of light and set up a fluorescent screen painted with barium platinocyanide and a Crookes tube, wrapped in black cardboard to cover its fluorescence. During experiments ,he noticed a green glow ( a new form of electromagnetic radiation ) passing through all of these materials. He did not know what it was, he simply called it "X - Ray"
4. Stainless Steel

In the early 20th Century, A metallurgist, named Harry Brearley was attempting to find a way to reduce the damage done to the barrel of a gun when discharging a round. He used many steel alloys but none of the alloys were reducing the level of damage caused to the guns barrel upon firing.
During his experiment, he observed that while all the other samples had begun to rust, one had not. This alloy was named Rustless-Steel and eventually re-named Stainless Steel.
5. Viagra

Viagra (Sildenafil compound) is also known as "Blue Pills" was invented by Pfizer. He was doing an experiment on the treatment of hypertension and chest pain caused by a heart attack. During the trails ,he found that the drug was more effective at inducing erection than Angina.
