The world is dominated by Indian foods such as samosa, chaat, butter chicken and chicken biryani. In fact, the US-based global market research company Semarsh has released an online food search report. It was revealed that in the world chicken biryani was searched 4.56 lakh times every month while samosa was searched 13 thousand times every day.

Apart from this, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, dosa, tandoori chicken, spinach paneer, naan, dal makhni and chaat were also in the top 10 in the search list. In the recent study it was found that the Punjabi dish butter chicken was searched 4 lakh times on an average every month.

Apart from this, chicken tikka masala was searched 2.5 lakh times on average. The famous Dosa of South India was searched an average of 2.28 lakhs times every day. "We are not surprised to see these results," said S Marsh Head of Communication Fernando Angulo. credit: third party image reference

The reason for this is that Indian expatriates living abroad have spread their dishes far and wide. Punjabi peoples are among the largest people living abroad. Due to this also Indian dishes remained in the top search.
