Indian society not supportive for women growth and development. Although time has changed a lot and Indian women are getting opportunity to remark their names in various fields like finance, sports, management, airlines etc. Still the difficulties of women has not ended and they face to fight with many issues in their daily life to become independent and strong.

Various Challenges faced by women

1.     Education- Education is the basic need which should be easily available for every person but in India it’s not easy for a women to be educated. Although government is taking various initiates to promote women education but still if any girl is born in poor family of in urban area then she has to fight for her education

2.    Gender Inequality Even though women has done the remarkable job to compete successfully with man but still they are not treated equally like man in many places. Various works are not allowed to be done by women in many organization. So many women fight daily to prove they are not lesser than a man.

3.     Basic facility of sanitary and hygiene- Indian is one of those country where basic facility like “Toilet” is not available for women in many areas and work places. Even in various schools and colleges separate “toilet” is not available for women and due to this reasons many women left their studies in between in spite of their capabilities.

4.     Safety and security- Now a days India is being called as “Rape Country” because every day women are being molested, raped and murdered. These cases are raising day by day due to which safety of women is being questioned. No women feel safe whether she is educated, uneducated, working, housewife or any other, all of them are having fear of their security.

5.     Acid Attack- This is the very common issued faced by Indian women. If any women deny to any men then he throw acid on her and no safety is available for women against the same. Various acid attack cases are being reported in India but no such strict law is being made to stop the same.

6.     Domestic Violence- Women is being married to a man by her parents with an expectation that the man will take care of her for the whole life. But it’s not true in India, many times a married woman is treated as a maid by the male family and she has to face the domestic violence. These cases are very common in India and the most important thing is in most of the cases either they are not reported by woman due to family pressure or it comes to knowledge when she is dead.

7.Dowry System- A very ancient and critical issue of India in which at the time of marriage the women family has to fulfill the financial demands of male family. This system of initially started by kings by providing few gifts and important things for helping their newly married daughters in her new house but slowly this system has become mandatory for marriage and has become a violence of woman. Most of the Indian women are being murdered in absence of dowry in marriage.
