Space Selfie: NASA Shares Mars Rover New Selfie

NASA Curiosity Mars Rover recently took a new selfie before climbing 11 feet. NASA has shared its video. Rover made a record by taking 86 photos at different angles to take a selfie. Its outstanding camera covers a small area at once.

NASA has named Mars Rover the nickname Curiosity. This 6-wheeler mobile laboratory robotic rover weighs about a ton. Curiosity is 10 feet long and 9 feet wide and its height is 7 feet. Curiosity is 5 times heavier than the former rover sent to Mars.

Curiosity has the ability to test crushed rock samples. The main job of Curiosity is to find out if life ever existed on Mars or not.

The rover is tasked with investigating the weather of the red planet. Its software records the speed and humidity levels of Mars winds. It landed on the surface of Mars on 5 August 2012. The drill machine on this is helpful in gauging the position inside the hard surface of Mars. It is equipped with laser rays. From this the rocks can be studied.
