Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease which increases the blood glucose level or you may say blood sugar level. Glucoses are obtained from the food which we eat. Insulin helps to move the glucose into our tissues and the cell use it as fuel for our body. The ranges of glucose in the blood are varying from day to night. Normal ranges of glucose level or sugar level in the blood are as follows:
Fasting: 4.0 to 5.4mmol/L (72 to 99mg/dL)
After Eating (2 hours): up to 7.8 mmol/L (140mg/dL)
Range of factors for Diabetes:
1) Age and life suspense
2) Health condition
3) How long someone has diabetes
4) Stress
5) Personal habits
Types of Diabetes:
There are 3 main types of diabetes are: Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes
1 Diabetes:
In this, the body does not secrete insulin. It is also called Juvenile Diabetes. It happens to people when the immune system in the body destroys the beta cells in your pancreas. Beta cells are the one which builds the insulin. If insulin not produces then automatically glucose level get increases in the blood. This type of diabetes happens to all ages. Only 5% of people belong to this type diabetes. It may cause damage to the body, dehydration and weight loss.
Gestational Diabetes:
These types of diabetes are occurring in women during pregnancy. At that time the body becomes less sensitive to insulin. It may disappear after giving birth.
Prediabetes:
It is borderline diabetes. It may range from 100 to 125 mg/dL. In this, the blood glucose level is a little bit higher than usual. Risk factors for predaibetes are:
1) Overweight
2) Family history of diabetes
3) High blood pressure
Symptoms of Diabetes:
1) Frequent urination
2) Excess thirst and hunger
3) Weight loss
4) fatigue
Prevention of Diabetes:
1) Get more physical activity
2) Eat plenty of Fiber
3) Reduce extra weight
4) Take whole grains
